👋
Hello, my name is
Jason Pfannebecker!
I am a recent Computer Science graduate from the University
of Kentucky and I am looking for my role in the tech industry.
💻 Projects
Python Socket Server (In Class Team Project)
o Socket Server developed in Python with a classmate that handles two clients and multiple different file types
o Capable of transfering text files, mp3 files, and mp4 files
o Ability to transfer files from one client to the other without mainting data on the server
o Ability to upload files from a client to the server
o Ability to download files from the server to a client
Farm Game (Personal WIP Project)
o Farming game developed in Godot Engine using Godot Script
o Work in progress, still implementing features
o Pixel art set used for free from *insert link*
o Start of development was done following a tutorial, but have added more features
Twitter Bot (Personal Extinct Project)
o Twitter Bot Developed in Python utilizing Google Sheets API, Twitter API, Google Cloud Scheduler
o Scrapes recent tweets based on the next query in the Google Sheet and finds the most common word (excluding stopwords and collection words) in these tweets
o Adds the new word to the appropriate Sheet and moves the queried word to the archive Sheet
o Posts a tweet containing the word used to query and the new common word found
o Google Cloud Scheduler is used to run this Python function each day at midnight
Website Access to Database (School Senior Project)
o Worked with an outside customer Delta V Innovations and a small team of students
o Transferred existing car data from a SQL database to a MongoDB database
o Created a backend for the website using Node.js
o Created a user-friendly experience leveraging React.js to implement a dynamic dropdown menu on the frontend that accesses data in the database
o Used GitHub for version control and collaboration
Python Graph Search (In Class)
o Graph search algorithms implemented in Python
o Implementation of Dijkstra's Algorithm and Breadth-First Search
👤 About Me
I have been programming in various languages from Basic to JavaScript for about 6 years.
My first experience programming was in High School whenever my math teacher introduced a Computer Programming class
to the school. In this class she taught us such languages as Basic and Pascal, but my passion really formed when making
the final project for that class. She allowed us to make any type of game in any language of our choosing, so I chose to
make a Connect 4 game in Python using PyGame. Me and my friend spent hours making our games way more complex then we needed,
just because we enjoyed the satisfaction of programming and seeing what we could think up next. After this class, and my lifelong
love for computers and video games, I decided to move away to pursue a degree in Computer Science at the University of Kentucky.
This move was outside of my comfort zone, but it was the best decision of my life. I grew and learned so much about the world,
myself, and most importantly Computer Science while at school. While in school and since my graduation I have been working on
various personal and assigned projects, some of which will be displayed on this site, that have taught me a wide variety
of languages and skills.
I am passionate about computers, programming, technology, robotics, AI, space, and
much more. Outside of my work you can find me playing games with friends, watching sports, or watching a movie.
